My car was totaled, so I will be in the market to buy a new car. I'm thinking Toyota/Honda/Hyundai/Kia.

Is it still no haggling at the dealer and I have o take what they offer?

You can do all that online now. Don't waste your time stepping foot on the lot.

I've heard they have very little stock available on the lots

My buddy is car shopping for his daughter. He said that they are adding to the msrp and won't budge.

My Sister (no pics) just bought a new car; Lexus SUV but she looked at pretty much everything. She said she was able to negotiate slightly; but the issue was more that no dealer had any inventory to actually sell....

As other have said, due to low inventory they won't budge on their price and even have some markups depending on vehicle.

MSRP+ is the new norm and you will wait months for delivery.

Have you not seen the OT for the past week? Must be 18 threads on cars and car salesmen.

Very mature. And how do you propose this gets him the new car he needs?

We are on the unfortunate side of supply and demand with this. Accept it or curse them and get nothing. OP can’t exactly wait it out, so your advice to him is poor.

I was at a Toyota dealership just this morning and was shocked at what little inventory was on hand. This dealership always had a large inventory on hand and it was not unusual to see their cars featured at the mall.

Bought a new F150 last week. Got $3k off sticker. Wasn't difficult at all if you know what you want and who has it in stock.

My buddy is a Toyota dealer in Arlington and said the best deals they can do right now are at MSRP. They don't have cars on the lot and most times they sell their incoming inventory.

Looking at the graph below… how about a Buick?

I've got a nice Chevy Citation II on the lot. Real cream puff. What kind of monthly payment did you have in mind?

Wife bought a Kia Telluride. We first ordered it and it was going to take about 6 months. 2 months later they had a 2022 model she wanted coming in. It was 5K less than the 2023 on order and we took it. They were selling for 3K over sticker and don't budge.
