Retiring is still a little over 10yrs away, maybe earlier.. Been in BR all my life but the current house is way too old. Lane Kiffin has lost control of house prices in BR.

You and everyone else.

I love it here in SWFL, but if you like the South, there is nothing southern about this place. The panhandle is probably your best bet for food, people & close proximity to SEC football.

Is that your way of saying “we are full”?

You’d be better off moving to Covington.

Maybe Pensacola, but the closer you get to Tallahassee it’s mostly all FSU and Georgia fans. Tallahassee is an underrated food town in my opinion.

Monroe Street in Tallahassee used to have my favorite eatery but now I keep going since that Hooters closed.

It’s not the end of the world. I’ve thought about retiring in Beaumont on my parents farm but I really don’t want to buy 60 acres. Most of my surrounding family sold out and lived out their final days in Arkansas or Missouri.

I'm thinking northern Tennessee between Nashville and Knoxville.

If out of the country, Uruguay, Panama, or Costa Rica. Europe has some okay spots on the Mediterranean, but they are getting overrun by the muzzies.

I love coastal transplants. They cannot wait to move somewhere and as soon as they get there they complain about the tourists and overcrowding becoming an issue.

From another thread, don’t you mean NW Florida. They are trying to ditch the panhandle name of course they can’t use the term like the Redneck Rivera or Should Be South Alabama.
