Either Walter E Willams or Thomas Sowell wrote a book about overcoming autism. Basically, you treat them normally and don’t tolerate the behavior issues and they learn to adjust to normal.

Autism is not the same as mental retardation, although the two can coexist in the same person. Autism can range from unnoticeable to completely nonfunctional. Intervention can help, the earlier the better although a child on the low end is probably not going to be brought all the way up to a normal baseline.

I suppose everyone has quirks low tolerance habits verbal hiccups, and intolerance for smells and sounds,
that may be similar to those that someone who has been diagnosed with autism might have. But that doesn't mean everyone has autism

I had a conversation with a neurologist about this, no, the brain is not a muscle, you can't exercise it to make it stronger. If you are going to get dementia, all the crossword puzzles and sudoku aren't going to help.

A social worker told my mother when I was still a baby that I was mentally retarded and would never graduate High School
