I am 35 and already feel like that. The only things I enjoy these days are eating, drinking and travelling.

I am 35 and have been noticing how things that I used to be so passionate about don’t interest me anymore. I’m the same as many others have said about sports. I watch the games but don’t let a loss ruin my day.
The one that worries me the most is that I used to really enjoy a good project of sorts. Mostly building things. I now just don’t have the interest in investing the time or money. I just can’t find anything I want to get started on. I think I’m going to start making it a point to travel more. I love the feeling of the countdown and excitement of an upcoming vacation.

Time to get a drug addiction, then you’ll have something to care about again.

That blows. I still like to be challenged.

I like projects around the house, prepping deer stands, dove hunting, golf, cooking, banging, smoking, drinking, fighting, fishing, and sleeping. Getting up in the morning is the best part of the day. I can’t stand falling asleep.

What in the hell do all you stupid mother frickers think, you’re gonna die and this will all get better?

I agree. I am Jack's complete lack of concern. I do care about my waistline but I don't think about it at all, becauase I have found conditioned myself over the years in such a way that I don't have to think about it for it to stay small.

All kidding aside the answer is to try to grow spiritually as we get older. What you are feeling is a shift in priority. Material things don’t satisfy as we age. I’m 60 and there’s definitely a shift in my perspective of life away from temporal pleasures and towards spirituality which gives more meaning to my life. As someone said we are really spiritual beings having a material experience. The older we get the more this becomes apparent. I still enjoy pleasures of money, sex, etc but they don’t drive me like before.

I'm kinda hitting that zone now. My youngest went off to college last month, and I've kinda stopped caring.

I don't care near as much as I used to about work, money, status, socializing, LSU football, my waistline, what's on TV (except GOT and Better Call Saul), and pretty much everything else that got me out of bed in the morning for most of my life.

I still like to look at hot women, though. But for not as long.

Oh, and I drink more.

Welcome to adulthood.

I am 61. Been rockin the sandals and black socks for years. Was pumping gas last week and a hit girl was doing the same pretty close by. I had to fart but was holding it in. Then I thought why? That young thing has no interest in me! So I let it rip. Drove away smiling. It ain’t for sissies. I believe in God and I am luck enough to have a 16 year old step daughter to get through college.

This. I’m 41. I’m tired of giving a shite about everyone else.

65 here and it only gets better. Don't much give a shite what people think of me, not that I go out of my way to be an a-hole or anything mind you. Take me for who, and what I am, or don't---your choice.

Quit caring about hair a long time ago even though I still have mostly a full head of it. I prefer the buzz cut as opposed to having to fuss with it every day, several times a day.

I can dress for the occasion and look quite presentable, but prefer to not be in anything other than shorts, comfortable shirts and tennis or sandals.

I'm still interested in most sports, but more as an observer. Still love to shoot pool, toss some darts with friends and partake of less strenuous endeavors like casual cycling, tending to my fairly large vegetable garden and entertaining at home.

I also find things tend to roll off my back a little easier, even though persistent idiots still trigger my wrath from time to time.

But overall, age has mellowed me a bit.

More so idiots that drive. It's like, would you just do the speed limit. I keep telling myself no big deal, but for some reason this is one thing that beats the crap out of me.

I've been that way for years. Indifference is awesome.

I do care about work but I also own the company so no care equals no company.

Did y’all find that when you had kids you became less interested in activities you used to partake in? I have a two year old and work a lot during the week so I only see him about an hour a day. On the weekends I just want to spend time with him and other things (bars, concerts, weekend long trips with friends, etc.) don’t have much appeal to me anymore. I have friends, some with kids and some without, who don't understand.
