I'm 53.......you could not have described me any clearer.

And, I'm pretty sure that I'm a sane, productive person.

Rock on, Brother!!!

More so idiots that drive. It's like, would you just do the speed limit. I keep telling myself no big deal, but for some reason this is one thing that beats the crap out of me.

I have been riding motorcycles for 48 years and still do and other drivers do get under my skin a lot, especially the soccer mom type with the SUV's that can't seem to pay attention to what they should be paying attention to.

Get off the damn phone, stop texting and pay attention to the road before you run over my arse.

You've got your priorities straight!

Nothing better than playing with your kids, unless it's grandkids.

I've noiticed the same phenomenon in my life. I used to be mad for a week if LSU lost in my younger days, now not so much.
But I'm still passionate about golf!

This is your time to enjoy life. Dont let time fly by. Go on trips to see your son, or other kids if you have them. Be involved still. Im 30 and wish my parents were more involved in my life/time.

Tell them (your parents) this.
Tell them in person.
Write them a letter.

I have sons, one is early 20s and getting married in three weeks. The other is 18. The older one is starting to reach out to me a bit, other one not so much. It's part of life that they need to find who they are and set out their own course, to a point.

But many go into that "hate parents mode" and it's a bitter pill to swallow for so many years. Especially if you're an involved parent who wants the best for your kids, and want them to enjoy their childhood/teen years with activities the say they like, learn from experiences and make memories.

Then they get ambivalent, and it hurts.
Tell them. Reach out to them. Invite them to something, invite them to share your life, now. They will (or they damn well should) be grateful. Parents need love, too.
