Stop drinking, seriously. I quit a few years ago, no special reason, just had enough. It really feels great, nice to watch an LSU game and actually remember it LOL. Go outside and do something, nature will help you through it.

Bingo.
It is kind of a depressing day when you finally realize or admit that you have more history than future.

Sports. I still watch, but I don’t let losses of my favorite teams ruin my week like they did when I was in my 20’s.

My onshore accounts...yawn. As long as we’re in the black.

I'm a die hard LSU and Saints fan but I feel the same way.
I grew up when they were both awful to decent so it's been a fun 15-20 years for me. It's entertainment and I don't take it too seriously anymore. I do love football season though. It's always been my favorite time of year.

57, and I care more about some things, and less about others.

Waste of time to dwell on it, that’s when it’s time to go outside and listen to birds and bugs, look at butterflies, smell the flowers, sounds corny, I know but it works

I’ve been here for the past 10 years or so. In my 50’s and I seriously couldn’t give shite one, and you’re right. It’s very liberating.

Yes, be in good or bad you stop giving a shite about what every else things

I'll admit I was kind of mopey for the rest of the night after that bullshite ending with the Saints and the Vikings in the playoffs.

I wouldn't say everything, but as I got older I quit carrying about things I couldn't change. Not worth the headaches and frustrations. I'll always care for those close to me and hopefully that will never change.

51 here and I also don't care nearly as much about things I cannot control. Also don't give a shite what others think of me. The wonder of money is no longer that intriguing. Football is more of a novelty than a passion. Still enjoy fishing but not nearly as afflicted with the need to go constantly. Probably the natural order of life. Phases and experiences of life change ones perspective.
Same age here. I had to check the author of this post to ensure it was not something I forgot I posted. My exact position in life.
Fishing has been my passion since I was 5. Now still my biggest hobby but not life and death like it once was.

There isn’t anything wrong with feeling like you do.
You have earned the right to take your foot off of the gas.
You grinded to make a career, then you grinded to provide. It took decades.
You did it.
Now enjoy not having to do all of that.

I wouldn’t say totally normal, but the 2nd grandchild is on the way, and they refocus a lot on life .....

I'm 59, hoping I make it to 79 so I can get away with wetting my pants if I don't want to get up and go to the bathroom. I'm not talking about having to wear diapers because I've lost control, just not caring about it.

I don't care near as much as I used to about work, money, status, socializing, LSU football, my waistline, what's on TV (except GOT and Better Call Saul), and pretty much everything else that got me out of bed in the morning for most of my life.
I still like to look at hot women, though. But for not as long.
Oh, and I drink more.
Brother is that you?
