Of course it is, anyone who says otherwise is either lying or not thinking it through.

I'm still paying all of my bills and saving money, but the extra money spent on gas, food, etc. is that much less that would have normally been saved

to an extent....

my wife and I both make good money... but we want to be able to do a few trips in the summer so we are having to eat a bit cheaper right now to save a bit of money for those trips.

shopping for bargains at Aldi and going with more generic brand stuff. Recognizing that maybe I don't need as much steak as I like....

Obviously this drastic rise in inflation affects everyone indirectly.

But ironically, low earning folks who Biden's campaign pandered to are likely taking a pounding.

It’s affecting everyone, but it hasn’t caused me to change my lifestyle.

I’ll look on the bright side… it’s helping my old high school start to kick arse in sports…

Meanwhile our rivals that charge tuition and are further away are struggling.

It is, but not yet enough to alter our lifestyle drastically. But we are not paycheck to paycheck and try to live (not always successfully) below our means.

A friend of mine posted this on Facebook. I immediately thought of this thread.

Bluff called, a-hole.

No, the pure Colombian flake cocaine that I snort off of supermodels' asses still costs roughly the same.

We didn't need a Covid bailout, but because of it, were gonna need to be bailed out but now there isn't any money there, unless they print off another trillion, exacerbating the recession that we are plunging towards at terminal velocity.
They just were never gonna be happy until Rome err I mean America fell.

The problem is my rent has gone up 30% during covid. And if I wanted to buy a house it would be the same thing.

This is what’s eating my lunch. My rent is about 75% of one of my paychecks. While that sucks, the ridiculous housing prices right now make renting my best option at the moment.

It actually has. I eat out less, purely because of inflation.

I’m upper middle class but I’m feeling it, cocksucker. Go frick your mother. People are getting it really bad, and I’ll smile if the evening reports you having your teeth kicked in for this post and not being able to afford the dental repair. You deserve it.

Housing prices are hurting me more than anything.

Higher prices of everything is one thing. Higher prices for crappier product across the board is another.

For example, most people are cooking at home now and eating out less. Why? Because the food quality has diminished along with the service and basically almost everyone would just assume do it themselves and save money at the same time.
