Is Hoin' Becoming Normalized?

So I'm watching the Devil You Know on Vice tonight and one of the women mentioned a site called What's Your Price where men pay women to go on dates with them.
That's not strange but how obvious and blatant the name was is what threw me. It's not Backpage or Craigslist and kind of hidden... it's open and upfront.
I thought surely it had been shut down.
Nope. It's basically Ebay for hos. Men bid on women.
Most of these girls are in college or divorcees.
So, do we just not care about this anymore?
It doesn't really bother me, but there's a definite danger to the outright commodification of relationship and sex. I think we need that illusion that it's not ALL about dollars, cents and sex to keep society together.
Now it seems like so women are so willing to cam, be escorts, whatever to make a quick buck. It's their choice but I think it hurts them more than they know.
