Texas A&M Corpus Christi is pretty cool... it's on an island.

This is the proverbial "everything is bigger in Texas". It's basically the Lake Charles/Monroe equivalent in Texas, if we are saying NOLA=Houston/Dallas (not to start that weekly debate, but to assess perspective). The tallest building there is shorter than the LA state Capitol. I could find some cool pics of the lake Charles skyline online as well.

You think Grand Isle is on par with Galveston?

Plenty of places to get piss drunk and fish in Galveston.

Yeah, Corpus catches a lot of shite on TD, but I feel like most people haven't even visited the place. I realize that aside from
Ocean Drive, it's not loaded with millionaires, but it beats the hell out of a place like BR. The cities are comparable, but one of them has a much, much safer vibe, and a more progressive future.

Lots of cities/suburbs in Texas are huge and nobody knows about them. McKinney, Frisco, Garland, Irving, Grand Prairie, Pasadena...not to mention how much bigger Laredo and the Valley are getting.

Heck I didn't think it was that big either. I also had no clue Shreveport was that big.

It is pretty hilarious that people from places like BR, Lake Charles, Monroe and Shreveport are calling Corpus a shite hole.

I think their main argument is "ermagerd there's Mexicans there!!!!"

Book under the state government / federal rate. You'll never get ask by Hilton to show your employer's ID card.

Much better rate and this will allow you to stay in a better branded and often times, full-service hotel.

Family-oriented hard workers who contribute great food (which is why they're all fat). There's good economic reason why they've been allowed into this country legally or not.

That is a big part of the argument I hear. I enjoy BR...a lot. As for Laffy, LC, Shreveport, etc...there's just not a growing future there on the whole. They can be great places for people in the right job, and I won't knock Southern Hospitality. I personally have no issue with any of those places. I'm just not sure how an unbiased person would pick those over CC. At worst, you'd say it's about even.
