Is assimilation into majority same as conquering?

Saw a video showing England most common name go from David to Muhammad. Assuming legal immigration, did they get conquered or is it just a new era of England?
Same for America, is Jamal a conqueror or just new era same as Industrial Revolution

It will be England in name only. But eventually they will change the name as well.

I feel like conquering is an intentional act, where assimilation by becoming the majority seems like absorption.
Outcome is the same, but the words feel less scary and that’s all that matters.

I don't know. Did Europeons assimilate into North America, or conquer it? Did Pajeeet assimilate into the IT field, or did India conquer it? I guess it depends on if you're the conquerer or conquered.

Assimilation is Afghans moving to Liverpool, starting to eat bacon within a generation, speaking Scouse, and be willing to glass someone over an argument on who is hated more, MCI or MU.

No, conquering would be taking over and imposing your way of life
Assimilating would be adopting the way of life of your new locale. If the minority comes and maintains their laws and practices in opposition to the established culture and system that already exists, they are not assimiliating

William the Conquerer was obviously a known for conquering England. But it was the way his men assimilated into their new home that made them such a success. They joined the religion of their new land, built gorgeous stone churches and castles and married local women. They were very successful.
However they were clever and adaptive. That not something muslims have ever been.

And they will get control over 120 functioning nuclear weapons too. 225 total but about 125 currently functional based on an online search.
