Sexual harassment has probably happened to every woman at some point. To the point of a Harvey Weinstein? Of course not.

Every office or job of any kind with men and women will have it. Some guy somewhere is a dipshit. Or some girl is hypersensitive.

Asking a girl that you see everyday and have gotten to know, to go out sometime, is not harassment. Asking her the same question 7 times is.

But as a male in nursing (a murse if you prefer) I’ve seen it. The guy who always wants a hug. Always touching.

I’ve been harassed. When I was 26-27 there was a nurse who was probably late 30’s. She was terrible. Really terrible or my horn dog arse would have done it. I’d walk through her station to get to mine from the elevator. If she saw me she was on me. Give me a hug but not just a hug. She lingered. Rub my back and shoulders like her arms would be if I were fricking her. She’d press herself into me. Every other female staff member was looking down the whole time. They would even sneak me by her. “She’s in the med room. Hurry!”

She would call my station to talk all the time and want me to go with her to a pool hall she liked to go to. Terrible. I saw her out a couple times and it was terrible. Thank god I never had enough beer in me to make that mistake.

One of four "me too" posts from a local favorite....

quote:

I have. I have even been banned from Facebook for sharing it while the man making the remarks suffered no consequences. In fact, Facebook has frequently been a source of sexual harassment for many. I have been sexually harassed in church, at school, at work, walking down the street, at the gym. I have been sexually harassed while wearing a bikini and while wearing sweats. I have changed my routine to avoid it, and still couldn't escape it. I have tried to hide myself and it was still there. It is as normal as breathing. Except I'm breathing in poison. #metoo

So what people percieve as sexual assault today and was people percieved as sexual assault as little as 5 years ago I think are two completely different things.

Like if you brush up against a girl's arse in a crowed bar in 2005...apologize and you both go on about your business. Today....sexual assault.

Eh, I don't think it's that simple. Can attractive people get away with more? Probably. That being said, a smart funny person who is well socially calibrated can get away with more than a good looking idiot.

The SNL Tom Brady skit summed this up perfectly

It would be interesting for guys to turn this around and do it as well. I guarantee over 90% of guys on the OT have either had their arse grabbed, or some other form of sexual harassment, by some fatty or bridge troll at a bar.

Are fatties really the ones bold enough to grab asses in bars? I'd think a waaay past her prime cougar over a low self esteem fat chick.

You're saying girls don't change their mind?

What if the girl changed her mind and I was too chicken to ask again?

WHERE IS THE REAL LINE HERE???

Depends on how much you smell like cake.

Even so, an unsuccessful attempt at flirting=\= sexual assault.

It's moronic. And these women that will force the point and equate the two for their own attention just dilute the reality and weaken their cause.

I don't think it can be narrowed down to one type of chick. It just takes the right combination or booze and self confidence and it can happen to any of them

I have people on Facebook sharing #metoo stories of their recent sexual harassment, where men complimented them, then called them bitches for not smiling & appreciating the compliment. JFC.

They will miss those compliments when they are in their 50s and invisible as a woman.

I'd like to formally apologize to all the guys I harassed at Walk On's Saturday night after the game.
