its before I was born and my dad was in HS at the time but in LC, violence between between union and non union was pretty common up until the mid 80s. Especially between 18-22 year old non union hands and the older 50+ union hands. Union guys would start shite and usually end up taking an arse kicking. Have heard 100s of stories from guys my dads age or a little younger.

but the particular incident you are talking about, I knew a couple of the old men that were in IBEW local about 20 years that participated. The craziest MFer from that group I know served some jail time over that.

stupid MFer also served jail time in the early 2000s because his electricity went out and when he called they told him it would take about 8 hours to get it back on because his area was not considered a priority at the moment. The old frick went and got his chain saw and started cutting down poles and when the cops showed up and arrested him he was screaming "Seems like its a priorty now huh mother frickers"

he was in his damn 70s at the time. Craziest MFer I knew and everyone I knew in the union was scared of him even then.

i mean yea but there is a reason he never had any real money and died pretty much broke. Some people are no different than animals when it comes to impulse control.
