You have peaked my interest. Where do you live without a restaurant or grocery store?

No. It's going to cost me thousands in marital counseling after it's done.

No I am losing money. My work cut out overtime, I was on pace to max out 401k and put up another $6k now I'm no where near that. With the kids being at home now our grocery bill more than doubled.

Then You guys are part of this problem this board is fabricating into the Black Plague.

Stop hoarding and stop this disturbing group think here and focus on steps you can take to improve the situation and get people back to work and back on their feet rather than worrying about some flu that kills everyone the common flu kills as well. Y’all hysteria mongers on here are filthy people

it didn’t happen in 2008 so I doubt it happens now

My husband and I were both laid off in 2009 right before our wedding when we were about to sign a purchase agreement on a big new house. Drastically altered our lifestyle and have only lived on one income while having two ever since. Made it through the flood ok and will make it through this. I have taken a 50-75% reduction in income to stay home because I am high risk but work in an essential (non medical) field.

We typically grabbed dinner twice a week and drinks once every two weeks. Add in a movie once a month. Lunch a few days a week.

Even with prepping expenses, I'm on track to save about 6-700 bucks this month.

Wow, that’s amazing!!!! Who would’ve guessed that not eating out all the time would save money?!? We need to get the word out about this ASAP!!

I hope you’re sitting down because I have something shocking to tell you; you didn’t have to wait for a pandemic to do this. Glad to know that it took forced isolation for you to have this life changing revelation though.

Is this how poor people live? Just completely clueless as to what there monthly expenses are, and then one day a national emergency comes along so they decide it’s finally time to sit down and crunch the numbers?

You couldn't afford my yearly limestone expenses for the property you brokeback bitch

I save a particular amount a month. Sometimes my checking account has money in it after I pay bills and my Amex. Sometimes it doesn't.

Hell more than that. Our credit card bill this month (we charge everything outside our mortgage and pay the balance each month) is probably $1500 cheaper than it usually is. Easy to save money when you're stuck at home all day every day. Only silver lining in all of this

Has anyone’s expenses on hookers, blow, and online horse betting gone through the roof?

Asking for a friend.

The hookers will only facetime me, at a discounted rate. I feel like I'm on Chaturbate.

I can’t imagine how expensive electric and water bills are going to be. Most people are gone 11-12 hours a day. Now home mostly 24/7.

Yes but at the same time, everyone is now basically stuck with little to no essentials. No regular sandwich bread anywhere, TP is hard to find.

Stores are trying hard to restock and the public is making it more difficult because we feel like we have to keep hoarding stuff and I think the reasoning there is because we're tired of being stuck in the house so we have to go somewhere and the only place that many will go to is the store. Think about what you're actually buying. Do you really need 10 gallons of milk? Where are you going to put it? How much TP does a family of 5 really need? 155 rolls? Use some common sense.

The stores will remain open. Go back and get what you need when you need it, just like you always have.

It's annoying to see how selfish some people can be. At least the stores have put limits on certain items per customer.

Just be courteous to others.

Stay safe everyone.
