If several of their kids are getting rhabdomyolysis, they’re being pushed far too hard.

Right...for a fricking hour straight

There is probably not a single person in this thread that could do 400 pushups in an hour

I don't know if it is hard or not. But, on the surface, 7/minute does not seem difficult on the surface. For those that say it's hard, how many pushups can you do non-stop before failure?

There are people in here whose job it was to be in top physical shape saying they would struggle to do it. I think it’s pretty safe to say that it would be hard as shite for an in shape person and likely impossible for the average american.

At one point I could do 14 perfect form unbroken pull-ups and 53 perfect form push-ups without stopping as well

400 in an hour would have had me wrecked

Really? You know nothing. Lots of them are better than college coaches - game of opportunity - who you know. They do way more work - Guareenteed

Either you can do it or you can't. If you can then it's not extreme. No water break is extreme.

how is 400 push-ups in an hour extreme
When it causes rhabdo.

Do you think getting rhabdo is some sort of political statement?

Hershel Walker did 3,500 pushups a day for a while and when he was in MMA he did 1,500 a day. You can slice that how you want but In a 16 hour awake day that is roughly 219 push-ups and hour for 16 hours or roughly 100 an hour for 16 hours. I’m sure he didn’t work our 16 hours a day. More like 4 probably. That’s roughly 900 an hour. Soy boys!

I don't know if you're trolling but it's not a fair comparison between one of America's most famous athletes to high schoolers or the average OT poster, at that.

I would think at 1,000 pushups per day your friggin' elbows would start to hurt.

One time when I was about 19 and in the best shape of my life, 5’11” @203lbs, I tried to do 100 push ups without breaking the lean and rest position. It took about 4-5 minutes and everything I had. I was hurting towards the end.

Basic training in 1989. 300 of us. PT test was max pushups in 2 mins. A 20 year division III fullback set the bar at 92. I was a 20 yr old college student in damn good shape, the best of my life, and it killed me to do 70. There is no way in hell that I or anyone else there could've done that 5 times with 12 mins rest between sets.

The only bad thing about this is it's pointless for strength training and will wreck your shoulders.
and give you rhabdomyolysis. Rhabdomyolysis (often called rhabdo) is a serious medical condition that can be fatal or result in permanent disability.

Knock It down some - mofo probably did 900 an hour for 4 hours - puts it into perspective. They only had to do 400 in an only 1 hour. That’s a big difference.

They “claim” they did 400!!!!!! OL do 1/2 a push up most of time and kids counts can be off a mile. Lots of them tap out and roll over after 75 and go belly up.

400 pushups in an hour is a ton. That's 6 - 7pushups every minute. Muscle fatigue is almost guaranteed. I imagine most kids couldn't pull that off.

Can't tell if joking.
