The best way if possible is 50 per set, 8 total sets.

This is proof you are fat

A fat person pretending to not be fat would say something stupid like the above

At 50 per set your lactic acid builds up a ton, after about 3 you can’t do anymore with out hours of rest…trust me when I was chasing the Greyskull challenge and was doing sets of 50+, if I tried more than 3 in an hour(even the first 3 sets) it would get to where I couldn’t do another push-up after about 30 reps on the 4th set. Lactic acid build up was too much

And again

-it wasn’t an hour, it was a period and 8th of the day so 50 min. Subtract dress out time and dress in time and looking at 40 min at absolute max

- it was sets of 16 as stated by the team captain and it was punishment for not doing a drill right

So they did 25 sets, between drills and were still completing a set of 16 every 70s or so…..nobody here is doing that. I couldn’t have do that even when I was doing that challenge. Like I stated…the lactic acid and pump becomes so great you can’t even really move.

Besides the fricking point that the whole point of high school S&C is to become a better player. In no way shape or form did this workout help improve any single player to a better player on the field and it has put 12 at last count in the hospital

I was one of the ones saying not that big of a deal at start of the thread…I was wrong and so are you

It’s all fun and games until someone has kidney failure.

Doing a push up every 9 seconds for an hour straight. I’m sure 99.999% of people would be struggling by minute 10.

Absolutely

Whether you can rep out 75, 100, even 125 without stopping, almost all guys are going to hit a wall.

And it's going to be real slow going getting to 400 after that.

Similar to running.

Guys who bang out 5-10 miles a few times a week could endure a marathon, without training. Likely without serious repercussions to their health.

Guys like me who exercise regularly, but haven't run a mile in years...there's no way I could make it through a marathon, for time, on the fly.
