I am going to say this. These 50 state rankings are pointless at times. They are starting to be like click bait.

They use a formula that always seems to benefit certain places.

They are starting to be on the same level with hospital rankings.

Where come to find out each institution listed had to pay a fee to get ranked, and they were the only one, so naturally they are the number one in the state by XYZ Scoring.

Most of those states are pretty homogeneous. Mass and Washington being exceptions. But they aren't in the top ten in diversity.

I just wish someone would do these lists entirely without the SJW factors in each category.

I don't think the South would soar up the rankings or anything, but it's like including percentage of kids on free lunch as some positive economic diversity factor in school rankings.

That aside, people in 48 states are going "definitely not fricking living in Iowa or Minnesota" so while I'm sure there are a lot of things the rest of us undervalue in those states, the rankings are useless in many ways.

Don't be a wise guy. You were implying that a state being red and religious means it will be poorer and lower in the rankings. I gave you evidence that there are 3 states that are red and religious in the top ten. That, my friend, is a rejection of your hypothesis.

If I were to say that "there are no red marbles in this jar of 10 marbles", and I pull out 3......that is a rejection of my hypothesis.

With these factors, you cant really argue LA is somewhere between 45-50
