Why sink money, time, and effort into something as an alum that can all be gone in an instant due to some dumb college kid or some overzealous University Greek Affairs Department.

I'm no fan of frats; but, let's cut to the chase: all of this "anti-frat/anti-hazing" stuff is directed at the Greeks simply because they're viewed as wealthy white kids. That's it. The black frats could be sawing off limbs with chainsaws and you would neeeeeever hear a peep out of the cops.

Fraternities are a good idea in theory. Not many places left on the planet for actual all-male comradeship.
However, this is pure faggotry. There are better ways to encourage that comradeship without this, or fricking trees, or what not.

I've done a few dumb things in my day but humiliating myself and allowing a bunch of gay douchebags humiliate me so I can be liked a bunch a gay douchebags and be in their douchebag club never crossed my mind as something remotely serious to consider.
