Right now, it's trash. It just is. If you can't see that it's incredibly flawed, it's because you don't actually know what you're evaluating.

You’re using 2 trash AI tools. 1 someone who is probably incompetent built and then copilot because it’s “safe” for your company.
Once you learn more about how to use it and investigate better AIs then your perception will change. Just ask AI how to properly use it and which one would be best for what you’re trying to accomplish.
“It’s flawed!”

That’s not true. But okay.
It’s gonna get better for you. Hang in there.

You called it trash…I called it trash and then you say that’s not true

The data center, cloud, and AI boom heavily benefits IBEW members in manufacturing sectors who build critical components such as transformers, switchgear, and backup batteries. This is more of a niche sector in electrical work, but the work is still prevalent.

Unions have too much power to do stupid shite, in moderation they would be a good thing, now they are just another kind of Mob.

No shite. Electricians might be the one group to majorly benefit from these
I don’t oppose data centers in general. I just think they should be required to be far enough away from neighborhoods so there’s no noise pollution, they should generate their own power rather than strain the grid and cause electricity prices to skyrocket, and they should recycle as much water as possible.

Louisiana should embrace data centers. These are amazing investments that could transform our state. Now is our moment. It may never come again. Large swaths of blighted areas in Shreveport, Monroe, Baton Rouge, and Alexandria would be perfect locations for beautiful data centers.

Pipe trades are feasting off of these things.

The thing about data centers is that they will bring construction jobs for sure, but after that the impact to the state will be minimal - except for resource usage. There are huge questions on power and water usage that will need to continue to be addressed as well as tax revenue to the states. All solvable problems/questions but before jumping into large long term projects there needs to be serious discussion.

They are as corrupt as the teamsters

The data centers need long term maintenance and upkeep. Those will be very high paying jobs similar to plant/factory jobs. This is Louisiana’s moment. Texas has made a huge error and we should pounce on it.

Was part of the IBEW when they took on a data center.
It was just a massive joke. Guys walking around inspecting extension cords. I personally had people I knew that were hardworking electricians told to slow down or they would have a grievance filed against them.
The union in the south is tame compared to up north. I owe a lot to the opportunities the union provided me but I worked my arse off. A large majority are lazy and the union helps motivate it.

Ehh...I really like Fable. Honestly, I think for 95% of users there is marginal differences between the frontier models right now. The people that are poo-pooing AI don't actually use it for the powerful shite it can do.
Learn to use it guys. If you're bitching about it, you sound like boomers not wanting to learn to use an iPhone.

I must be lucky. The union craft I work with have all been pretty great. Never had issues with protecting poor performers.

See this here is a reasonable take, bravo. The anti data center crowd is too stupid to breathe.

I don't think he's talking about the employees. He's talking about the officers, business agents and stewards.

What would the average person use it for?
And by average I mean the truly average person...not some average IT/Engineer/Tax kind of average.
