Just heard that both Nationwide and Travelers are pausing all new business writing through 2023 to protect their capital position. Won’t affect current customers, but it does show how a combination of Covid and historic inflation has completely fubared the industry.

Assuming this is property insurance??

I feel like my company is about to quit writing auto coverage in Louisiana. That place is a shitshow when it comes to verdicts

sooo glad we all hid in our homes for over a year for a glorified cold that killed a couple hundred Mammaw’s. Seems worth it.

We’d all be better off without insurance. Except the few that would be way worser.

But, but muh "tort reform!". You mean LABI and their lap dog legislators didn't save the auto insurance industry in LA?! Shocked. Shocked I tell ya.
