Go to the store and get “Calm”,
It’s. Magnesium supplement that helps me sleep. And check out other natural sleep aids, there are several things like Valerian root and other things that I take together that helps.

And try to do some extensive cardio earlier in the day to get rid of the nervous energy.

Many people tell me to “meditate”, but haven’t had much success. But when I can remember, I just breathe very deep breadths as I’m trying to fall asleep and it works.

Things that help:
Exercise
Jerking off
Trazadone
Weed


Things that hurt:
Booze
Stimulants taken too late in the day





But also keep in mind there is evidence that prior to the industrial age it was *normal* for people to wake up around 12-2 am, be up for a couple hours, then go back to sleep.

If you are over 50 it becomes pretty common.
My tips-
Quit drinking
Exercise
Sleep and wake at the same time every morning, even on weekends.
White noise app (turn it up loud)
Weighted blanket
Weed gummies if that’s your thing
If all that fails make a dr appointment and ask for Trazodone. Tell him you aren’t sleeping. It’s pretty harmless drug at low doses other than it knocks your arse out and wake with no hangover

Get you a THC prescription. LSU makes Night Night gummies and Southern makes Dream gummies. That and a half of a Trazadone. These things changed my life.

You have some anxiety for some reason, and it is probably affecting your life during waking hours as well. Fix the anxiety and you will start sleeping well again.

Talk to your doctor about it. He may suggest some counseling or anti-anxiety meds…or both. You lying awake night after night hoping it goes away is not a good plan.

Seriously I've had anxiety and insomnia for days one of my greatest prayers answered is that I don't any longer. There's over the counters and kava or sleepy time tea at Walmart.
