He should have been in jail when the Beauregard Town murders happened for carrying a gun onto the LSU campus. He was out because of a certain progressive judge.
I can’t believe you idiots are *still* parroting this nonsense after all these years.

These aren’t even a blip on the radar. No one knew they were even going on because almost all of them were drugged out women except the first two.

Parkview kid was missing for days. Body found in NBR. Murderers were never convicted
He was at Woodlawn when he died. And it was drug related.

If I am not mistaken, the family sued On Star for refusing to provide the location of the vehicle the deceased was last seen in because they didn’t have an active account.
I think this created an Exigent circumstance requirement for these private companies to cooperate in the future.

Didn't they have a lady vanish at an intersection in NBR in the late 70's early 80's? Like her car sitting at the stop sign and she no-where to be found.

Wait, you have a distant family member ALSO killed at Tinseltown? I used to go there a lot, hard to believe it was just torn down.

Robbery/murder at Delly's Corner (Sharp and Old Hammond Hwy) early 2000's. Burger/poboy place.
Owner (great guy) killed and robbed after closing time.
His Family thought it was an employee but I don't think the case was solved.

Vickie Wax. It was either in 2000 or 2001.
Female cop killed with her own weapon by an “unarmed” black man trying to steal disposable cameras at the walmart that used to be on Perkins and Acadian. She carried a revolver that fell out of her holster. Revolvers were banned by the department afterward. Little known story is that exactly 6 days before the exact scenario happened at the exact same walmart with another black male and a male cop but he had a glock with the holster strap that stopped the guy from taking his gun. He was trying to steal cigs.

My gf now wife had a house by there and I thought of that every time I drove by. That murder has been forgotten because of time and the shop no longer being on the corner.

In addition to the ones listed, one of the most memorable ones for me was the murder of Fred Schmidt in 1978 at the Red Lobster (Florida and Airline). I was a kid in BTR when that happened and it made an impact on me. Probably because my family had been to that place, so it was the first murder that touched my world in some tangential way. To this day, whenever I see Red Lobster, that event is still in the back of my mind.
