conservatives in general have had their brains broken when it comes to MN.

it is 75% white and 5% asian and has some of the best education and healthcare and lowest unemployment. also, it has well over 10,000 lakes and a shite ton of public land. it's only real con is high taxes.

in no world is it one of the worst states.

Truth. Minnesota does not belong on this list. Place is great, would love to move here

Not positive but I feel like Delaware isn’t a better state to live in than Louisiana.

Prove me wrong.

it's kind of funny how so many people here will describe the type of community they want to live in (homogenous, mayberry qualities, access to the outdoors, low crime, people taking pride in keeping things clean and orderly, etc.)... then shite all over MN/WI/MI

Not sure about your metrics but:

1) Louisiana.

Takes the cake. Horrid government, ridiculously expensive, garbage roads, and (although this isn’t the states fault) crappy scenery.
Places like California despite having terrible government and being expensive at least make up for it with a cool landscape. Louisiana doesn’t have that luxury.

This past week’s failure to eliminate brake tags is everything you need to know about this state. I cannot wait to move out for good.

Nebraska consistently has a top 10 economy of all states, and very low crime rates. Wow, what a crappy place! ??

The basic everyday stuff I'd encounter like how educated average people are, good restaurant choices even in smaller towns, how much poverty and dilapidated buildings, trailer parks and dollar generals etc matter a whole lot more than how much I like the state's politicians at the moment.

Although every state has good spots, the ones that have the most places that I'd really hate to live or even spend a few days:

1 West Virginia
2 Mississippi
3 Indiana
4 Alabama
5 Arkansas
6 Oklahoma
7 South Dakota
8 Louisiana
9 New Mexico
10 North Dakota

Louisiana has a work force problem. Unless they start importing people to work almost every job, nothing will change.

There’s too many lazy people in charge of other lazy incompetent people.

Then coupled with that is a total failure of a government at every level. Something even states like Mississippi and Alabama have an edge on.

The cold is a con for me but agree it's nowhere near bottom 10.

People are posting pics of scenery in OK and LA to refute that their state is bottom 10 on one hand yet consistently ranking CA, HI, and WA as bottom 10 on the other.

Make it make sense.

Lived in both.
Really loved both.
Would move back to Louisiana before I moved back to California. It is much easier to live "rich" in Louisiana than it is California.

Landscape and scenery...beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I lived on California's central coast for 10 years. By all accounts, it is the "perfect" part of California. Perfect weather year round. Perfect scenery. Perfect little towns straight out of a movie.

Got tired of it and moved to Utah. Lived on the side of a mountian there. Lived there for 10 years. Got tired of it even though it was very beautiful.

Making my way back east. I miss things about being east. Greenery for one. Real rain for another. Most of all, night noises. Love being outside and listening to the wildlife at night. California and Utah, while beautiful, were deserts. I realize I am not a desert guy.

Since I’m from Wisconsin there’s only one state that far exceeds all others as the worst and that is Illinois.

If anyone who is truly from Wisconsin says any other state besides Illinois they are lying to you.
