It depends.

If the $10-12k really will hurt you, then get the Frontier. It's not the best vehicle, but it's good enough.

If you're not going to miss the $12k, then I'd get the Ram and be happy. It's a good vehicle. I've driven a Ram Limited, and it's very enjoyable.

It's really about what you need. How many miles a day you drive, do you tow a trailer, etc. It's not as cut and dry as to which is the best.

I’d rather take the city bus than drive a Tacoma. Trucks have zero balls and tiny on the inside.

All the OT claims to be 6'4" yet they drive Tacos.

Yeah, ok...

Tacos are shitboxes where it feels like you're sitting on the floor. Hard pass.

Get the RAM

Have a 2019 Bighorn. Can’t find a truck that is as good a ride and gives you the same features for the money.
Have had no issues so far so reliability has been on par to this point. I haven’t heard too many issues with the new body style, but RAM has really upped their reliability in the past 10 years.

Also just my .02 cents, I leveled my truck and put ATs on it. I can’t help but think it’s the best looking truck on the market.

I had a Frontier for year. Absolutely loved it. My only issue was it really felt dated, especially interior features. They’ve fixed that with the new body style this year. But it was a great truck. Gas mileage was shitty though, but I didn’t care when gas was $1.80/g. My F150 gets almost 10mpg better than my old frontier.

This. The cab size difference between the Ram and the others is a definitely worth the money (plus it’s new).

Maybe a little concerned about reliability since it's owned by FIAT

You mean Stellantis, the new company formed when FCA (Fiat) and PSA (Peugeot) finalized a merger in 2021 and now based in Amsterdam?

Best of luck to Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, and Jeep.

Out of all the trucks my family has owned - the Ram and the Tundra have lasted the longest

Although our Frontier was a Katrina victim, it did have a few continual problems before it floated. The old S-10 is still kicking somewhere, too, but it wasn’t the most reliable.

That's good to know. I'm still very much on the fence about this.

I’d go with the Ram. Like Fut, we have a pretty good sized fleer at work and the Rams have had no dependability issues at all. Some of the hourly guys put 75,000 miles per year on them, and they have no complaints.

Go with the Ram. I’ve got a 2019 Rebel and it is amazing. 70k miles with absolutely no issues whatsoever. Smooth ride and size difference will be worth it.
