Mostly daily commuting, but somewhat of a work truck. I will be an assistant superintendent for a commercial general contractor in construction so I'm sure it will get used in that capacity as well.
Jmho, and I’m a cheap person. I’d get the Frontier. I’ve driven the same one for 10 years, it has 240k on it and has been worry free. They are well built and a proven platform and like you see the cheapest option.

Yeah I mean point A to B in a maneuverable size... $12k less sticker.

Of those options, Tacoma.

Naw, we use the trucks.

Not the Ram

Do not own, but have V6 Ram work trucks that are very reliable.

F250 XLT with the bigger screen

You're comparing 2 compact trucks to a full size truck. I had a 2020 ram 1500. Loved it. Get the full size truck.

Used 2020 Nissan Frontier SV, 20k miles - $28k
This is the move. A Frontier is 90% as good as a Tacoma for 2/3 the price.
A 2005 Frontier and a 2020 Frontier have the same engine and transmission. They are pretty damn solid. I sold a 2008 last month with 188k that was fresh as a daisy and ran/drove perfectly. I owned a 2011 Xterra, mechanically identical to a Frontier, for 120k miles, used it hard and generally did heavy-duty Montana shite with it and all I ever had to do was basic maintenance. It never broke or failed me or got stuck or anything. Great vehicles.
Tacoma values are absurd, don't feed it.

Ranger is a good one

Don't buy anything, you're paying a ridiculous markup on anything new or used right now.

Whatever gets the best gas mileage.

I had a Ram with no issues, but ordered an F150 back in February. I’m still waiting for it. At this point, a truck available for sale is a good truck.

I’m in the market for a truck, at what date in the future will prices drop?

Tacoma if you don’t have kids - the back seats are serviceable for the occasional short trip with 4 people, but not for everyday with family of 3-5. Full size truck if you have to constantly lug more than a front seat rider all the time.
The truck beds on all three are perfect for 99% of anything you need. If it’s bigger than even a small truck bed, you probably putting it on a utility trailer anyway, so don’t let bed size affect the choice.
The frontier misses a lot of perks of the Tacoma, and a tricked out Tacoma is worth to way more than 10k because they design is perfect. Simple things like the way you adjust air vents, where the switches are located, how many cup holders - Tacoma wins this hands down.
In reliability Tacoma wins over all three and it’s not even close. Look up the list of vehicles with 100k mikes or more on the road - half the list is Honda and Toyota.
Frontier loses in every category except price.
Ram loses in everything except seat comfort and towing strength.
Tacoma wins where it matters - design, dependability, longevity, versatility.

The Ram is the only one you’d actually enjoy driving.
