I just recently bought a Svago Zero Gravity recliner and it's amazing, but more than you want to spend.

I'm gonna shoot pool with a buddy soon. I'll snap some pics of the old one. Saw some garage sale ones and Facebook ones and the reviews online...well they are varied. Who knows whose paying who for reviews

Go to Lazy Boy store. Ask for the most expensive recliner. It's made of legit raw leather. It's great, expensive and detailed.

I paid $2300 in 2021 and it's been the best chair I ever owned.

With their warranty it'll probably last 30 years.

I think that's how Covid started.

Ive got a leather lazy boy recliner. It still works fine but the leather has not held up. Coming off on one arm and the head area is scuffed up from me wearing ball caps.

I just had to repair a hole in the arm of my leather recliner.

I just can't justify spending that much on a chair at the moment.

Especially since I worked in furniture and know how much the markup is

I'm a sucker for wingback pushback recliners like the Lazy Boy Kimberly:

2 stages of reclining (legrest + real recline)
no levers
if you pick the right colors, relatively timeless apperance
At about $800, a pretty decent option

Yes, the overstuffed atrocities are much more comfortable. But these can fit in a whole lot more spaces with a whole lot less gripe from wives, and they're very comfortable chairs.

All the major brands are pretty equal once you get out of the cheapest price points.
Get something constructed with a metal seat box. It will last longer.

Power is all the rage these days and they’re cool. But you won’t be getting up very fast. They’re slow as hell. The motors have a shelf life and will break.

I don't need all the bells and whistles and don't really want to pay for them either. I want a chair with a handle. I like a handle.

You can get a really nice sized rocker recliner from la-z-boy for around a grand..with handle. I brought my last one during covid rich because I chose microfibre of a certain color to match my décor it took a bit longer but it's worth every penny.

If you're willing to spend that, you can get 2 good chairs at Ashley's. They're having a big Memorial Day sale here locally. Buy one get one 1/2 off on some, buy 1 get 1 free on some.

I may end up getting one, but it's just sticking in my craw. It's like buying a brand new car. You know they Jack up the price.
