Think about this for a second, and then put down your crack pipe.

Nothing to fix. America is some utopia with no problems. Except of course those uppity ni@@ers.

Nothing you say from this point on should be taken seriously on any board you post on.

At least someone on this board acknowledges the fact that the federal government schemed for decades against the black population of this country. This is not a left or right issue. I am a republuican and I believe in facts. And the fact of the matter is that police have been for decades the point end of the spear to disenfranchise black people in this country

Monty, So you are saying that black people are being killed so much that they will cease to exist soon, not understanding your logic here. Comply, you don't die. There will always be cases where bad things happen but don't over dramatize the perceived problem when it is self induced, for the most part...

Police only shoot black people?

Black people shoot police at a high rate. They also pretty much shoot everyone at a high rate. I’m sorry facts are offensive. If black men would start raising their children to disavow thug life the numbers would drop. Black people should be protesting dead beat black parents.

But I acknowledge that this does not erase responsibility. One chooses to sell drugs, one chooses to commit crime, and there will be consequences for getting caught. The problem I have is the severity of punishment for nonviolent offenders.

Honest people like yourself are the leaders we need. You are a credit to your party and could do a great job of attracting others if you had a leadership role

harsh drug sentences were largely pushed by black community leaders in an effort to stamp out the crack epidemic. It wasn't some grand whitey social experiment.

You reference a Nixon secret policy in the 60s, a man who has been out of office for 40+ years, as somehow being a factor in poor behavior in 2017? Come on.

Can't disagree with you on this. Acknowledgement and accountability is what we need moving forward to correct this problem. Finger pointing and the blame game has us running in circles.

So this is mutually exclusive to the police brutality against blacks? Both can be true.
