In 3 years you won’t have humans taking your drive thru orders.

This is according to the chairman of Presto automation. Humans will be replaced by chat bots as Wendy’s begins testing them out. The chat box will have a female voice and will understand requested items that aren’t phrased correctly. This is being done because of labor shortages according to Wendy’s.

You can download apps and do that today. I'd rather see all the options on my phone and order at my own pace and eliminate one more way for someone to get my order wrong.

Wendy's has been trying to do this for many years, a few years ago they used a call center to take the orders at the drive thru, all well spoken focused people, that clearly weren't the people in the windows.
