The church itself is just a building. Satan has no victory over us.

John 20:1
1 The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.

He was already gone, bro... He didn't rise when she went in, he rose before that time. READ your BIBLE!

Well... If you insist.

quote:

“When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons. She went and told those who had been with him and who were mourning and weeping.”

Mark 16:9-10

What were you saying about reading?

Entire doctrines have been written partially based on the timeline of Jesus' resurrection. They didn't just make it up.

I understand going to church from a community standpoint, but I don't understand looking at not being able to go to church as "dark times".

What do you get by going to church that you can't get if you don't go? Do you need to go to a church to have a relationship with god?

You uber religious people always explain stuff like this away...bad stuff = God is testing me, good stuff = God is being nice to me.

So just go with the "testing" thing and call it a day.

If you are looking at it from the moral point, you think capitalism (in theory) is the most "godly" form of government?

Pope said just this week the virus is God's doing...as a way to correct the impacts humans are putting on the planet.

Just because you shutter the buildings, doesn't mean the Church is closed.

I'm pretty sure that post was sarcasm. You'd be hard pressed to find more of a socialist than Jesus.

Jesus would condemn to hell pretty much every last Trump Christian there is (assuming of course you believe in hell, which I don't because it's not a real thing)

The church isn’t a building. Satan can’t stop the true Kingdom from worshiping.

God had already won.

Satan is trying to bring as many down with him and there are so many weak minded people that are easily controlled and fooled by him.

Jesus rose on Sunday. Read Leviticus 23. His death, burial and resurrection follow the pattern of these two successive feasts - passover and the feast of first fruits

After passover the nation of israel literally prayed for life to come forth from dead seed in the ground and were commanded to bring the first fruits of spring to the temple on the following Sunday after passover.

The nation prayed for life from death.

Jesus obliged

The rocks would cry out if need be.

But what is the Church other than the Body of Christ?

We are united in fasting even today!

Why does Satan even try? Has he not read the end of the book?

Do you realize that much of Christianity does not believe in a 7 year tribulation?

Umm... it's in the Bible.

Now... Pre vs. Mid vs Post Trib... that's a different story.
