but basing it on two places known nationwide to attract awful clientele is a bit short sighted.
I had been to D&B in other cities and didn't have any issues with the people.
And I only go to the movies a few times a year, but never had this issue there either.

So you're souring on NOLA because you went to a shitty movie theater in ELmwood and then went to a shitty chain amusement place?
Great thread.
Great thread.

Houston is so much better than New Orleans.

I have never lived in NO. I have always lived in BR. I started to sour on NO based on my visits and experiences there, similar to those mentioned above. Now, much to my horror, BR has become NO, Junior.
Thats great and thats your prerogative
Meanwhile 12 million visitors will continue to come and spend 6 billion dollars a year in the city

Memphis
I agree. Memphis is a shithole.

You literally couldn't have picked worse places to go

Ya, but we're in a NO thread and its just too tempting to get into state wide issues.
im just pointing out that the littering problem is a problem in new orleans it is also a problem all over the state

Houston/NOLA = LSU/Bama on this site
Well NOLA=LSU and Houston=Bama of course
NOLA is more interesting but is dominated in every other way by Houston

If it wasn't for Bama we would be last in the state with the worst quality of life rankings. Thanks

When I lived in the University Place area of Houston after Katrina, I couldn't spend enough time looking for a place back in Nola to get out of that city.... put it this way, I ended up moving to BR for a short time instead of spending any more time in the land of the cookie cutter strip malls.

And if the city doesn't clean its shite up and outsiders keep reading about tourists and others who get mauled in and around the French Quarter, those numbers will decline.

BR has all the same negatives that NOLA has but zero of the positives..... BR is more of a smaller Memphis

Look man all movie theaters are like magnets for trash. So you should know what you get going there.
Dave and Busters's....what can I say. I'd put a bullet in my dome before I stepped foot in one of those places. I mean seriously who in their right mind goes to Dave and Buster's...especially in NOLA.

The only way to enjoy movies and places like D&B in NOLA without being surrounded by trash is to go early in the day. Those places get overrun with people who ruin it at night.

You mean like Sugarland? I think the description is pretty accurate.
