It caused some major issues with me. Spiraling negativity and outbursts of anger. I had to stop taking it.

Yeah, I would avoid chantix at all costs. fricking with your brain like that is a terrible idea.

As stated, vape/e-cig till you get your dosage of nicotine down, then drop the habit.

If Chantix causes too many side effects, try the patches. I'm on week 7 and it really works. I even take them off at night. Good luck.

What's wrong with vaping as a form of trying to quit? I would definetely give it a shot before using Chantix.

Well that is just silly. But go ahead and take the drugs. Good luck.

I can only assume he's being sarcastic/witty, as his kids will clearly be more traumatized when he ends up hanging himself than they would have been watching him charge up his cigarette.

But in all seriousness, after you feel suicidal and look at an e-cig/vamping as a realistic option, go natural/organic. There are a ton of terrible chemicals in gas station brand vaping juices that you'll also want to avoid at all costs. Virgin Vapor out of California is a good brand to look at.

I am starting the patches soon. I just have to pick a convenient stop date when I can reasonably reduce drinking. Gonna say after MG.

Chantix effects different people in different ways. It worked for me after 30 years of smoking without any side effects at all. I would try it and see how it affects you, then re-evaluate your choice.

I did Chantix, side effects were no different than trying to quit cold turkey. Night sweats and weird dreams, same as I had cold turkey. No other side effects except some heartburn.

As far as suicidal thoughts, me nor the 5-6 people I know that quit off Chantix had that. Now if your a woman, maybe.

Have fun with mind altering drugs then. Just offering an alternative. I have personally stopped my 12+ year, pack a day habit with the help of vaping. Currently on month 3 of reducing the nicotine.

Saved about $400, reduced my blood pressure, lung health is exponentially better, no longer smell like smoke, it doesn't affect my professional life, and I feel better about myself and my future watching my kids grow up.

Just trying to help a fellow smoker trying to quit.

FWIW, my PawPaw smoked cigarettes for nearly 50 years and quit cold turkey in the middle of a cigarette.

Mine as well. He put down the Old Taylor on the same day.

My dad said he didn't really change at all after that.

You are going to end up committing suicide.

That's one way to stop smoking.
