I am in better shape than you could ever hope to be. You know why? Because I am not a weak person who needs a drug to quit smoking. I bet you are to weak to eat a healthy diet and go to the gym too. How fat are you?

I use Chantix two years ago. Very good stuff. It worked for me. Two years smoke free. My wife still smokes so the temptation is around me, however, it is easy to fight now. I still have my moments at lease once every few months, but it passes quickly. The support number is also helpful. I used it twice. Smoked for 40+ years so it was a battle. Chantix is not for everybody. It gives to some depression or suicidal thoughts. My wife can not take it because of this she is bi-polar. As for me I was told by wife that I laughed out loud in my sleep. So be ware. However great stuff worked for me.

Yes you do. You are just to weak of a person to do it just like you are to weak of a person to quit smoking. I feel sorry for your kids. They will probably be weak people just like you.

OP, again you shouldn't have bad side effects off Chantix. Most of that is BS about suicide and all. Quitting smoking in itself actually puts people in a depression. Most of the so called side effects from Chantix is the same one's from just quitting nicotine. Everybody of course is different.

Your first week is a struggle to get over the nicotine part. First month is a struggle to get over the habitual part. First year for the mental part. After a year I didn't care anything about a cigarette, although I do smoke an occasional cigar while hunting.

ETA: 2 packs a day for close to 15 years. Dipped for 4 years before I picked up cigs.

That's what the doctor said. Said the vast majority don't have side effects, maybe some weird dreams, maybe not.

Of course he's just a doctor and not a stranger on the internet so who knows

I've been quit for 8 years and if I were trying to quit today I'd use Chantix again. Good luck and sweet dreams.
