Really pisses me off to spend my heard earned money on their overpriced razors for like 15 years only for them to attack me with the SJW narrative. Hell yes I'm triggered bitch!

Apparently you are not, or else you would know that stopping a woman from speaking her mind is not being the best man you can be.

I'd also like to know how they measure whether or not it's a success.
Knowing them, they measure success by how much people are talking about it. In which case, mission accomplished.
How they SHOULD be measuring success is by their sales after this ad. I cannot imagine a scenario in which those numbers make this ad look like a success, but who knows.

honestly think this is a result of the people at Gillette living in the far-left liberal bubble.
I don't know. Probably some ladies in marketing that thought it would be cute to mansplain to men.
Most people at decision making levels are somewhat out of touch with the mainstream.

what is the minimum amount to cross over the "this a lot of work for this amount of sausage" line?
Start up isn’t cheap, not for a good setup. You can get a small grinder and stuffer for a kitchenaid mixer for under 100...but that’s for a small amount.
Figure...you’ve got to get your grinder, stuffer, and a smoker.
Set all that up.
Get your meat. Your seasoning, various buckets and trays.
Cut your meat, weigh your meat, grind your meat, measure your seasonings, season your meat, grind your meat again, prep your casings, stuff your sausages, hang your sausages, smoke your sausages, weigh and pack your sausages. Clean your equipment
It’s an all day affair. I’ve gone 36 hours straight making sausage before.
It’s definitely work. But if you have your seasoning right...all the difference in the world. We used our sausage in the gumbo cook off last year and placed second. I stand by our product.

I’m sorry. I thought the thread was about the Gillette commercial.
It is.
And you have posted almost word for word the same thing repeatedly.
And its questions and answers that no one can answer yet.

Ouch. Scruffy doesn’t sound very scruffy

Not sure where this comes from. Are you under the impression that I don't really think y'all are entertainment for getting worked up about this?

sounds pretty involved but sausage is pretty underwhelming around here and I've been wanting to give that a try, any websites or other recs for equipment?

That must suck in itself. I think the last time I bought razors I was 19

Ouch. Scruffy doesn’t sound very scruffy
1. Use a beard trimmer
2. Use cheap razors and water to shave neck and edge
3. Drink a glass of bourbon
4. Profit

Ad is doing what its makers were paid to do, generate buzz
Buzz can also be "did you hear about the 8 people that went to the hospital after eating at xyz dinner"
If a company that is losing market share spent 7 figures for an ad campaign ...just on the "it creates buzz" cost/benefit, then they deserve a mkt share bashing. They tried to crowbar their way in to a social movement they had no affiliation with other than "men harrass..our demographic is men". Nike at least said basically "fight for what you believe is right regardless if the cost" not saying.."kaep is right and if you disagree then you are part of the problem"
This creates buzz but doesnt advance the bottom line or the legitimacy of the metoo mvmt. Its a failed attempt.
A couple of weeks ago I was reading about the "Coca Cola Rifle/shotgun" campaign. Sometimes you just have to scratch your head and think..just because you can doesnt mean you should.

The Schlick stuff in the store gives me razor burn. The generic stuff will cut me to the jugular and somehow leave the neck hair, not sure how that's possible.
Generic stuff slices the hell out of my neck but the Schick disposable razors are what I've used for years. Cheap and they work. Triple blade and offers a very smooth cut.
