He's just saying you've said the exact same post 15+ times in this thread which is true.

And I’m just giving him shite about it. But I’m sure he appreciates you white knighting for him. Y’all an e-couple now? Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

That's part of it, but they're often intelligent too, and you knew you'd catch flak for this commercial. I just want to know how they quantify it in order to pull the trigger on the idea.

I'd also like to know how they measure whether or not it's a success.

They live in an echo chamber and the media will eat this ad up. I didn't think anyone would like this ad then I saw two friends on Facebook gushing over it. One is a friend that lives in California and fairly liberal and the other is a girl.

I doubt they thought it would be a bad idea.

I think the jury is still out on this. The Lumber 84 commercial from last year regarding the wall backfired and lead to consumer boycotts.

That was a doozy.

The ad seemed pro-illegal immigration. The company president came out and said she voted for Trump and wanted the ad to highlight his path to legal immigration.

It pissed off people on both sides, which is difficult to do.

Kids wrestling .... that’s evil. Boys will be boys, and they will be evil.

They should be learning how to cook, not playing outside.

They certainly knew it would piss people off, but they likely assumed those people would be the minority.

I'd just like to know the metrics and hard numbers they used to rationalize the decision. Perhaps I could be swayed that it was a good idea after all.

Well they aren’t learning to cook from dudes grilling corn and hotdogs.

You made a claim about SJW men vs nonSJW men that can't be proven.

Not lumping people in one group but you could by seeing that the majority of men vote republican (don’t know any repub SJWs) except a few RINOs and not all Democrat voting men are soy boys. I’d say Gillette is taking a big risk. Single women shopping habits are different than married women also. Example: if I say Company X sucks and we shouldn’t buy their shite anymore then their isn’t any Company X shite in my house. So Company X lost two customers and maybe gained 1 single female.

Scruffy’s contention is that women use the same razor for a longer period of time, which accounts for the massive disparity and is also the reason behind the increased pricing for female razors.

Married women don’t shave their legs near as often in the winter when pants and long skirts are the fashion of the season. Trust my independent research in bed last night.

I thought the commercial was stupid, but i didn't it compeltely. A lot of men do need to do better. Rape is wrong, bullying is wrong. Those should be stopped. I believe in standing up for women and respecting women. I have no respect for men who would beat, disrespect, etc women.

What really bothered me in the commercial is that they associate masculinity with those terrible things. Being a masculine man is NOT the same as being some sexual predator who beats on women. Boys will be boys is not some evil concept as they made it out to be. Allowing boys to playfight in the yard is not going to make them turn into sexual predators.

Oh come the frick on. You have to be looking for shite to get triggered over to see it that way.

Here's something you may have missed: the ad portrays some men/boys bullying and harassing others, and it portrays some acting like real men by standing up to them.

Why don't you identify with the real men?

maybe real men are getting a little defensive about the constant social attack regarding the evils of being a (white, heterosexual,)man?

The Gillette commercial insinuated most men, the majority, are bad.

Who would have guessed in a commercial painting men in a bad light the demographics would be skewed in the opposite direction most commercials go.
