This is good context. So she completely lost interest in sex, he introduced “open marriage” (lulz) and now she’s trying to convince herself and the world that everything is fine.
Everything is not fine lady. You’re divorced minus the paperwork and living together. Which is actually worse than a divorce.

They are roommates, that marriage is over, they just haven't come to that conclusion yet. This isn't an open marriage, he can't even get hard to screw her anymore.

No idea, but when the husband does it I bet more than half the time he doesn't like the actual results of it when his wife starts getting laid more than he does.

That would have been my first guess but the more I read about this stuff, the more it seems that women who initiate this typically don’t do it primarily for sex, while men almost always do it for sex.
If this is true across the board, I’d guess the men are probably going to end up with more partners. I suppose a comparison doesn’t really matter though since the marriage is effectively over anyway.

Not only is this person in an open relationship that makes her own family uncomfortable, but she posts about it on social media to promote that lifestyle....embarrassing her kids.
The article said her daughter and her mother think she's crazy.
The guy is going to probably get more out of this arrangement. Doesn't mean he should go along with it. That marriage is completely undermined. What's the point to be in a marriage like that?
