Unless you are over 80 you can't get away with this. And even then I'd probably just limit it to something brief like "it's nice to be helped by a pretty girl." And whatever you do, never tell a girl/woman she needs to smile. They will cut you.

Never told beautiful women that they are beautiful, especially taking it to the extreme of she could be famous and profit from it. Limit compliments to the periphery, such as I like your earrings, or cute shoes.

This really should be common knowledge.
If she really is obviously and uncommonly pretty, she’s hearing that 20 times a day from horny and creepy dudes. Best case is your “compliment” is just background noise. Likely you’ll simply get a reaction like the OP did.
Compliment things she has done instead, like a nicely-chosen piece of clothing, or how she does her hair. Bonus points for combos like how jewelry matches/accents something else.
Stay away from body parts. And obviously, FFS, don’t just be like “someone should pay you for being purdy hur hur”. Might as well follow up with handing her a coupon for three free months of onlyfans hosting.
