What is it that you can see? Is your eye vision like black? Are there like black spots that take up some of your vision?

Prayers, my man. I've been fighting macular degeneration for a while now, just hoping my eyes hold out until for the next 10 years so I can retire at a decent income level.

I hope you're able to take advantage of the tech being worked on.

Yes, i have "black areas' and every thing else is pretty much severely out of focus. Peripheral and depth perception are almost non existent.

Hey, it's not like he can read any of the comments.

To whoever is reading this to him. When you read them all, do it in the most annoying, sarcastic voice possible

Driving is obviously not an option. My career for the last 20 years has consisted of heavy machinery so safety is a bit of a concern.

OK. I understand that. But you can learn to do something else. You’re not a retard are you?

Don't underestimate. Elon musk, he has made bringing back a person's vision one of his priorities.

The guy is brilliant, greatest. African-American who ever lived

He probably has his phone on boomervision so everyone in 3 rows can read it when the 70 year old is sending suggestive texts to the side piece during the football game

Oh I think you should be because of what you used to do, but only till you can be retrained to do something else.

Plenty of blind people have jobs.

Just wanted to give the few folks who remembered me from few years ago an update. Everyone was very helpful back then. Dealing with this is tough but i do appreciate the kind words.

The blind have screen reader software that turns visual information into audio.

There is also a refreshable Braille display that can be used to read a computer.

Lots of tech out there now to assist them.
