I'm about to build a house with no garage

Wife is on board. Am I going to regret this? Never had a garage myself, so don't know what I'm missing

Yes. Why would you not add a garage? It's the least expensive part?

At bare minimum, should help resale.
It also allows for a whole bunch more storage space.

Build the garage, don’t park in it, and enjoy your nice workshop/gym/man cave.

But where will you store all your junk and work out with your friends while listening to loud music and smoking weed?

Is it in a trashy neighborhood? Most people in trashy neighborhoods don’t park in their garage anyways.

Why would you do that? Keeps your car in better condition, keeps you out of elements, keeps car warmer in mornings, extra space for storage, and better resale value.
If it’s a money thing, you will actually lose money in the long run, between vehicle upkeep and resale value

Everyone thinks they are Frank Lloyd Wright when building some house.
You should build a house that actually works. Big laundry room. Big storage. Simple plumbing layout. Serviceable.

My next house will have a garage bigger than the house.

My shop is bigger than my house. That's a good start. Still need a garage bigger than the house.

Parking outside is trashy AF. Are you building a shop or will you have zero storage for vehicles and outside items?

Have all of that, minus garage
I have a vision for the house and can't fit the garage in.
