Of two little baby birds

I found these guys in a planter we had sitting on our balcony. I went to clean it out and realized I pulled out two little baby birds. Been keeping an eye on them because I haven’t seen their biological parents in the past couple of days. I’ve been feeding them small worms and using a little water dropper to help them hydrate.

They’ve really taken to me. What should I name them?

Is this the bird equivalent of a schoolteacher in Florida?

Bring them to the roof to teach them to fly. You jump first.

I'm sure there's a racist joke in here somewhere.

Until you puke into their tiny mouths, you're nothing but a big scary giant to them.

Touch a baby bird and the parents abandon it. They're yours now. You're on the hook for the next 17 years, 11 months, and 10 days.

That sounds like a terrible strategy.

I think you bring up a good point though. In the absence of their biological parents they’re going to need me to teach them how to survive. I’ll probably spend some time tonight showing them Youtube videos of Bald Eagles and Peregrine Falcons. I want them to aspire to be more than just ordinary tweetie birds. I also want them to be patriotic.

Congrats bro. My ornithologists say it’s best to keep them comfortable and hydrated.
