I'm from here (IL) and they will still be utilized. Illinois will still have plenty of use for them to enforce laws after legalization. The MMJ Pilot Program is very strict the way it is.

This is wrote up because the Illinois Sheriff's Assocation is against the legalization. Not all cops are, but more so them obeying federal law. Most of the cops where I'm at, actually work security at a grow company.

The dog issue is because the State and Federal government don't provide funds, and concern for donors since it will cost them more/be a waste of money.

Example : Warren Buffet Jr (son of Billionaire) is a huge donor of K9's to Illinois Departments. He is also a county Sheriff (Macon).

The argument though is botched because the dogs will still be used. Illinois will still be very strict when legalization happens. I feel this is the people (who are against) argument trying to slow it down. This state will take forever to implement legalization when it comes anyways.
