Pre-check is the best 17 dollars a year purchase you can make.

Even if you only fly twice a year that is only $4.25 for each time through security.

How long does it take to get approved for pre check?
I have to fly out from Houston on Wednesday on United.

Wonder if it would be better to switch to Southwest and leave out of Hobby.

How to enroll

Due to the lapse in federal funding, this website will not be actively managed.

From the website

Yes, you can still get a TSA PreCheck during a government shutdown because it is a fee-funded program that continues to operate

I flew into Bush airport this past Monday. I sat on the tarmac for 45 mins after landing because of gate mix ups. Then once I was INSIDE the airport, I shite you not...It took me an additional hour before I was in an Uber headed home. We were directed from the end of B terminal to the trains to the C terminal to pick up our rides. I was dropped by two separate drivers because the traffic was so horrific outside the terminal. I did NOT check bags.

I told my family I was going to be home by 6 for dinner. I pulled up around 8:30.

id stop short of firing em. Mortgages and utilities are still rolling in. Most of these folks can’t miss a paycheck.

IAH has been a clusterf*** for over a decade now and I can’t think of one noticeable improvement.

I flew out last Sunday. I had to sign up for a free trial of CLEAR in order to make my flight. Security line was nearly out the door in Terminal A.

Oh, there’s a lot of negative things you can say about CIA ghoul George HW Bush. But the fact is, the airport is named after him. Not his son.

Ask the Democrats. They've voted 13 times to keep the govt closed.

If there was ever an airport that is a microcosm of the city it's located in it would be IAH. Everything's under construction, everything's far, congestion is bad, most of it looks old, etc.

It's a place you go to suffer through because you have to for whatever reason, much like Houston.

Umm no. They are still supposed to show up to work, but many are using sick leave with their excuse being they don't have gas money to get to work, since they haven't been paid in over a month.

Of course it will just get worse the longer it goes. Thank your democrats.
