re: If your company offered option for 4-day workweek with no drop in pay

Offering a choice would be the least productive way, in my opinion.
Case in point. At a previous company, it was well-known that NOBODY worked from Christmas to NYE, and they'd even walk around telling people to leave at noon, etc.
I'd just burn thru my vacation days during the rest of the year, knowing I didn't really need them at the end of the year.
If you take Monday off knowing that most people are taking Friday off... let's be honest, it's kinda like a 3.5 day work week, lol.

When I need to burn a day here and there I typically take off on Monday. I get to miss all of the Monday meetings and beginning of the week crap. Friday is laid back already 90% of the time.
Missing a Monday is definitely more bang for your buck

That just means you're a dentist using your Fridays to plot your method of suicide.

I already have Fridays off but Mondays don't seem that bad.

Depends on the type of job. I am a contractor and my client isn't taking off Monday or Fridays. I also don't get to leave all responsibilities at work when I leave. With that said, I would have to go with Friday and just hope for slow Fridays.

Moving to 7 on 7 off. Was going to take a job that was 3 on 4 off then 4 on 3 off alternating weekends. I prefer weekdays off anyhow, I could work almost every weekend and not care too much.

I’ve worked 4-10s for most of my career. In the last few years I e switched from Friday to Monday because a lot of places I need to access on my day off are not also closed in Fridays.
BTW if you’re still getting your 40 why would you lose pay?

We can work any hours we want as long as we get our 40 in. There are some dudes.. Well one dude who replies to emails at like 2:30-3AM. Before he started working from home, he would be in before anyone and leave the office around 9AM.

Friday off, Monday WFH.
I don't need Monday off, but I WFH as many Mondays as I can. Being able to throw laundry that has piled up through the wash throughout the day and having all of it done for the week is such a good feeling.
My friend works from home every Monday and Friday, which sounds like a great setup. She is in a leadership role and doesn't answer to anyone besides the CEO, so she can easily work from home and then be done for the day by lunchtime if she has nothing pressing. Which to me is basically being off.

I'd go with Wednesday too...just to never have to work more than 2 days in a row.
