There are so many places that give free food that there are no more starving homeless. I have seen what is available out there and it's amazing what is available for free.

The catholic church - they'd pull up my records and help me out I'd hope since I helped folks out the last few years with the St Christopher Fund and donating to the food pantry.

I have done this recently. The chain hotels are $400-$600/nt in the Permian so I stay at the mom and pop motels for only $120/nt. Swing by the chain hotel in the morning, grub down on the hot breakfast, take a coffee to go. None of the employees notice and probably wouldn't care given the bank they are bringing in each day.
It may be a little harder if you look and smell homeless but definitely worth a shot.

Always have causal business attire. Hang out in large hotel lobby around noon. Walk into the large dining room with the crowd that breaks from their 11:00 o'clock meeting, find a seat. Act like you've lost your name. Chow down.

If I had a decent pair of clothes I would walk into a Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, etc. like I owned the place and eat breakfast every day, plus take some grub for the road. You couldn't go to the same hotel every day, but those people don't know and don't care if you're actually a guest.

Go to a Hare Krishna Hall. They serve free Indian food to homeless every day.
