If you get deplaned for mechanical issues, are you nervous to get back on?

If you’re sitting on a plane, or taxiing, then you have to deplane because of mechanical issues. Once they get you back on, are you nervous?

ETA: you’re getting back onto the same plane that you got off of

Did they switch the plane or keep the same one?

If you tell them you are a sovereign citizen and say you’re traveling instead of flying they legally can’t force you off the plane.

Of course not. I’d get on and sleep through the flight like always

No. They found the problem and fixed it. The system worked.

More nervous when I flew last week from SAV to ATL on a 1980’s 737 that was so old it didn’t have seatback screens or WiFi. Can’t believe that plane is still flying. Everything on it was so worn it was missing paint. Lots of bare metal.

Only happened to me twice. Both on Southwest. And both times one of the mechanics flew that leg with us. So no. I wasn’t nervous.

Well once in the Air you can’t just pull off the side of the sky and call a ASAP Truck if it acts up again … so yea I think I’d have the “ I don’t think I like what the frick is going on here” feeling big time.

No. The pilots ain’t gonna take a broken plane they don’t feel comfortable controlling.

Nope. Mechanical can mean a stuck lav door, a lock that wasn't fully closed, etc.

What’s the mechanical problem? Light bulb? Engine won’t start?

Was he going to go outside to fix it?

Just curious, how did you know the mechanic was on the flight? That alone would kind of make me nervous, as if they're concerned something will happen in flight.

He got on the plane after it was fixed. Do you think he would do a shitty job and just be like “I guess that’s good enough” and then get on that plane and fly?

Again, wtf is the mechanic going to do midflight?

Never know. Could be the company wanting to get rid of evidence if it goes down.

nope - I was in flight from Detroit to Pittsburg, and we had to turn back due to temp gages on the engine failing - got back, waited 4 hours - got back and and flew on.

I just always decided if it was my time, it was my time. not a fatalistic view, I just consider myself lucky - I was born very premature and given last rights - I was not expected to survive 3 days at most, but here I am 48 years later - so I consider my life a gift, and when the universe says it is time - then it is time.
