If you folded a piece of paper 42 times, the thickness would reach to the moon

Exponential growth rate is a cool concept

This is assuming the earth is round; which it's not.

This paper is folded 42 times and does not reach the moon.

Pleated.

To make this technically correct, you have to say folded in half. Otherwise you leave the loophole where you could just partially fold a piece of paper in sections to reach 42 folds
Like the guy a couple of posts above me just did

Yay, the moon is closer than we thought

The math checks out. It'd actually go well past the moon. But who in the hell can fold a single sheet of paper 42 times? It starts getting really tough to do after the 7th fold.

Just imagine if you folded it 350 times.

2 to 42nd power times the thickness of the paper.

I’m gonna need you to prove your work.

Pleat: a double or multiple fold in a garment or other item made of cloth, held by stitching the top or side.
