Join the marines for two years. Put off school til early 20's.
Learn how to make decisions more quickly.
Take the loss and move on.

Ask this girl out laying on your bed. She’s into you.

Take high school senior year more seriously, even though you pass every test it's the homework scores that will kill you because you ignored it and didn't do it. Just do your homework even though you feel it's beneath you because you know the material and can pass the tests. This will save you thousands of dollars in income for nearly a decade down the road because you could've qualified for numerous scholarships with your ACT scores, if your GPA wasn't shite.
You aren't good enough to get on a major university's soccer team, take the opportunity at the smaller school that presents itself to you.
She IS the one you'll regret losing for the rest of your life, but it isn't the girl you're dating now, it's the one after that you've just started talking to and are interested in. Don't let her drive on 4/28/2010, at all costs. Even if you have to hide her keys and slash her tires and she's mad at you for months. At least she'll be alive.
Keep playing guitar and do everything you can to keep that band together, even if it's just for fun on the weekends.
Keep your Explorer, you won't get shite for it trading it in and it's a great vehicle you'll come to miss. Same with the vehicle you buy after that. Do not trade that vehicle in for a brand new Challenger RT, you'll end up wrecking it in a head-on collision that isn't your fault but will break your ribs and wrist and give you a concussion. Keep the previous car and drive it until the wheels fall off, you'll still regret not having it when you're at least 36.
Do not sell your 70 Dodge Dart Swinger for anything. Especially not the following:
Do not take that first prescription of hydrocodone after you broke your ankle playing soccer. Just deal with the pain and take Tylenol or ibuprofen. Your future self will be a totally different person than you were for about a decade for not having to deal with a secret opioid addiction that costs you tens of thousands of dollars. You also won't waste years with a woman you knew you'd never marry and had no future with.
That all being said, every one of those events led me to my life now and I'm the happiest I've ever been. I have a beautiful wife that I truly love more than any of those previously mentioned - it just took me until I was older than most to meet her. We also have the most handsome, cutest, and smartest 10 month old baby son that wouldn't have existed if I had been there to guide my 18 year old self away from the life I lived.
While I have a ton of regrets and things I could've changed to make my life easier, those stupid things I did led me here and I wouldn't change any of it if I had the choice.

Go to trade school at 18 and not 35.

Women - Before you decide on marriage, look at her mother. That is what you will be with in 25 years, physically and emotionally.
This is ridiculous advice. Every single one of us knows women who are extremely different from their mothers. Did you even think for 20 seconds before posting that?
My MIL was morbidly obese by the time she was 28. My woman, who looked just like her mom at 20, is 61 and she’s 5’4 1/2” and 135 pounds. A lovely woman.
In fact my MIL had two girls and the other was skinnier than my wife. My wife has three daughters in their 30s. None of them are like my wife. They are wonderful young women, too, but not like their mother. The vast majority of women I know are unlike their mothers.

I could give advice that would change my early adult life drastically. But then I wouldn't have the kids I have now. And I could give advice about particular women, but again that would probably mess up my life now, as far as children. Therefore, the bitcoin thing.

Longevity at a company (especially banking) is.likeb perfect attendance awards in school ..not really great achievements
ETA... Cyndi Lauoer was right. Girls aren't that complicated, they just want to have fun.

Listen to your Dad. Period. 70s were tough enough with wayward advice.

Don’t drink , smoke or use tobacco in any form. Don’t give a frick what anyone thinks of you. Don’t do things to gain the approval of people who don’t care about you. Work your arse off, hustle and don’t be afraid to fail.
