Without a doubt, I would prevent the import of slaves into America. America would be such a better place without this horrible chapter. If slaves had never been brought to America, racisim would be not exist and life would be so much better for all of us. If this were the case, the current African Americans would still be in Africa and would certainly be much happier. I would be happier for them as well. The world would certainly be a better place had slavery in America never existed.

This is a tough one. I saw a lot of posts referencing killing someone in their crib like Gavrilo Princip or Hitler, but I don’t think that would have the desired effect. I think if you killed them that early, the variant timeline (thanks MCU) would result in creating the same type of person to commit the same heinous crimes by adulthood. You need to get to them once they are already formed or about to begin their reign of terror. It would deal a much more devastating blow to whatever their eventual plans were. Like if you killed Princip while he was on the way to the assassination, or Hitler when he was ramping up Germany after WW1, you’d have a much better chance of stopping the event you’re trying to stop.
For me, I have to agree the poster who went with stopping the Titanic from sinking. If that stops, it’s likely the federal reserve never gets created and we’re at a much better place in this country.

Like WWI, a socialist revolution was going to occur somewhere. It was an idea with enough momentum that somebody was going to try it. Russia was a surprise to everybody, including the Bolsheviks. The consensus was it would break out in one of the industrial states. Without the Bolshevik revolution sucking all the air out of the room, attention would have turned to Germany. If you liked agrarian backward Russia making trouble, you'd love modern, industrial Germany spreading socialism throughout the world.
