Great, I can stop washing my hands every ten minutes now. Poor things are bleached!

I have a really hard time believing that it has spread so widely if this was true.

If true this means its airborne virility is incredibly high

"We know it's not a smear infection that is transmitted by touching objects, but that close dancing and exuberant celebrations have led to infections."

Was this guy the town's medical advisor in Footloose?

I am looking for good news where ever it can be found but I don’t think this thing is hard to spread.

The guidance our company Enviro and Health has stated is it can live up to 4 days on plastic and steel, 4 hours on cotton material and 2-4 hours on copper. Take that FWIW.

Eh, I’m gonna need some more collaborative data. One guy in Germany isn’t enough to change my mind. Would be great if true, though.

I was in the high risk category, 70, two time cancer survivor.
If it is spread from sexual contact I’ll be OK

copper

Is the focus of much research these days. Its antiviral and antimicrobial properties are perfectly suited for sterile environments. However, the ever-increasing price and its tendency to corrode are hurdles.

Supposedly the Black Death spread like wildfire just from fleas on rats. Never seemed likely to me either but who knows.

One must assume it is contagious and can spread in a variety of ways. Continue to...
Wash your hands
Keep surfaces clean
Social distance
Shelter in place
Stay away from groups and crowds
Wear a mask
Use common sense; don’t think this can’t happen to you or a loved one.

You underestimate the filth of a time when bathing was thought to be unhealthy.
