If the world was ending due to a zombie outbreak, would you give your child up for a cure?

Inspired by this article and playing the last of us part 1
Let's say hypothetically - the variant turns folks into flesh eating zombies like in the last of us video game. There is no cure discovered yet. However, your son/daughter is immune and can create a vaccine from their anti-bodies. However, the process will kill them in return for saving us all potentially. Would you or would you not support a cure for mankind?
Yes, I am stoned. Yes, I am overly thinking about a Playstation video game.
