This ain't the 50's, each wife needs a real job with real income. I see a 5 day rotation with a real sweet combined income. 6 can live as cheap as 1.

The 12 kids in diapers is what'll be a showstopper for the legalization movement.

People forget that the Bible speaks against polygamy. It is written: "no man can serve two masters"

It was hard enough finding 1 woman I wanted to stay with until I died. I'm good stopping right there.

Was in Utah a couple weeks back... I just don't see where the money comes from to support this lifestyle. I was legit trying to figure it all out while there.
Because every wife but the first one counts as an unemployed single mother on paper and the husband usually collects all of their welfare benefits.

Considering women’s emotions and jealousy I’m not sure how polygamy even works.

I feel like you’d constantly have them bitching that you show the other one more attention, love her more, etc etc

There are two different models. There's the Warren Jeffs model that was mentioned before of welfare fraud for legally single mothers.

The flip side is the income leviathan advocated by more upright individuals.

You use the value of bundling to make every dollar go farther; supporting one large household is simpler than making 5 small ones go-- one garbage bill, one cable bill, one water bill, one electric bill, one mortgage payment.

Yeah, all of those individual things are higher, but incrementally so, compared to what you'd see 5 families pay for individually. You build in one wife for child care, one for household labor and maintenance, and put the rest to work, and badabing-- three working adults can support two others and a pretty healthy lifestyle, before any fraud has to occur.

Madam you would marry multiple guys? One isn’t a big enough problem?
