Yeah, We’re just a bunch of bumbling, mouth breathing morons (okay, maybe most of us). Couldn’t possibly have some ingenious minds in the public with abilities and access and time to put a hivemind to figure out things that some podunk police department might not consider.
The arrogance of the networks and the alphabet agencies is just…well, it’s amusing.

Maybe if they spent less time hunting down January 6ers and setting up Trump, then internet sleuths wouldn't have to help them solve the crime.

Yes, you are correct. Corrected it. Thanks.

The Cops were recently quoted as saying the following:
This is stupid. If a guy runs into a residence and kills random people, it is not "targeted." Maybe he did stake out the residence beforehand, so in that sense he did "target" it, but that doesn't mean it was a targeted killing as in "I am going to kill person X."
Ted Bundy "targeted" a sorority house in 1978, but he didn't know a single person inside. So, according to these Cops, that would have been a "targeted" killing.
These Cops need to clarify what their definition of "targeted" means. When I hear it, I tend to think that a person is targeted, not a residence.

These cops inspire very little confidence that they know what the frick they are doing.

Semantics. There are targets of choice {personal, retaliation, jealousy, preferred victim type}, targets of convenience {the timing is right and the coast is clear} and random targets {dude just opening fire in a store type}
End of the day the only clarification should be was there an intended victim known to the perp or not.

Either way this is a very sad case of evil gone amuck.

Exactly

Well that’s your own fault. Obviously, a “targeted” attack can have 2 different meanings.

The fact that he said "I just don't fathom it " is pretty telling.
Lots of mysterious cold cases have been reopened and subsequently solved because of the efforts of the very people he is so dismissive of. Whether he wants to admit it or not, his arrogance is remarkable.

They also aren't obligated to speak on it at all. The cops semantics is a weird thing to get hung up on here.

Every time I see this thread bumped I get hopeful for some positive developments, only to be disappointed.
Maybe I'm just a little bitch, but I legitimately don't know how the people in that community can just carry-on while an absolute psycho is still on the loose and the police aren't putting out much information.
There could always be a murderous a-hole in any of our vicinities but having it confirmed without much reassurance to go on makes me feel for the people of Moscow.

Personally, I think they’re gonna get a suspect.
Just gonna have to wait this one out…

It has to be the boy that the two girls were calling back and forth that night

Why? You think he got tired of the drunk dials at 230 am and went to their house to slaughter them and their roommates?
He has been expressly cleared by the cops from day one, with the support of the deceased’s families.
